Are you contemplating a birth photo + film session but aren’t sure how it all works?
I’m here to walk you through this process, and ensure you feel comfortable from day one.
- First we book a call to discuss both the birth vision and the plan.
- You will then pay your retainer which secures your on-call window. I take no other bookings during your window.
- We will meet at your home at about 35 weeks to get to know each other.
- The remaining amount of your package is due at 37 weeks.
- I am going to join you when you are in ACTIVE labour, and I'll stay up to the first 2 hours after your baby is born.
- During the birth, I will be unobtrusive and respectful.

- I will provide 2 sneak peek images within 72 hours after the birth.
- I’ll select all the best images to edit.
- You will receive 2 films - a full overview of your child's birth story, and a shorter, shareable version.
- When the gallery is ready, you’re going to receive the digital images, the 2 films, a print credit, and your beautifully hand crafted printed album!

Birth Session Investment
My birth package includes an in-person visit with your family in your home. It is important to me that I meet your partner and hear from both of you about what this pregnancy has meant, what you envision, and to ensure you understand my role in your special day.
I am on call for you from 39 weeks, and have a back-up, experienced birth photographer at the ready in case of an unforeseen emergency. Come the big day, I will be with you from active labour, to at least 1 hour post-delivery.
- 60+ curated, beautifully edited digital images, which will unfold to tell the story of your child's birth and their 1st couple hours earth side
- 3-8 minute film, documenting your complete birth story
- 1-2 minute, less intimate film, more suitable for sharing
- A printed, 20 page heirloom quality album
- $150 gift card to print your images
- $500 voucher toward a newborn or family session (within one year of the birth session)
I accept no other bookings during your on call window. This time is dedicated to you.

1. Will you share my images online?
- I only share birth images that I specifically ask clients about. Sharing birth stories empowers other expectant mamas, but I understand not everyone wants their birth photos on the internet. Your privacy is very important to me.
2. What if you miss the birth?
- Every birth is unique and can happen super fast, even for first time moms. I always have a back up, experienced birth photographer on call in the case of an unforeseeable emergency. Because birth films are my specialty, I can't guarantee that the backup photographer will provide film footage for me to edit. In this case, I will offer you a complimentary in-home family photography and videography session at a later date.
3. Can you photograph my birth at a hospital or just at home?
- I can document your birth story in any setting (except in the OR, should you have a c-section).
4. How long will it take to get the photos back?
- I will provide you with 2 sneak peek images within 48 hours of me leaving the birth. Your entire gallery, including the film and album, will be ready within 6 weeks of the birth.
5. What if I end up needing a c-section?
- I will not be allowed into the OR should you be transferred. I will head to the hospital and stay and photograph you and baby up to two hours after you return to the recovery room.
6. My family thinks they can just take my birth photos. How do I explain the cost?
- Birth photography is about so much more than some iPhone pictures. I provide professional photos and birth films, as well as beautifully designed albums. Birth storytelling is about you and everyone around you who supported you as you brought your baby home. It is an eternal, unspoken testimony of those who were by your side, watching you in your strongest moments. It’s a love story, frozen in time, where with their looks they said, “I’d take your place in an instant, without hesitation, if it would take away your pain. I know you can do this. You’re a lion. I’m right here. Your baby is coming home.”
